Ultima Online이라는 EA에서 서비스하는 온라인 게임이 있다. 게임을 좋아하고 오래전부터 해왔다고 자부하는 사람이라면 알 만한 게임이다. 난 Ultima 시리즈 팬이고 리처드 개리엇의 팬이다. 그리고 Ultima Online의 열렬한 유저였다. Ultima Online를 하던 지난 5년 동안 많은 사람과 만났다가 헤어지기를 반복했다. 그리고 IRC의 한 채널에서 아직도 그때 같이 하던 사람들과 채팅을 하면서, 혹은 실제로 만나면서, 문자를 주고받으면서 친분을 쌓고 있다.

Ultima Online를 안 하는 지금도 이 곡만큼은 잊지 못한다. 마비노기를 하다가 이 곡이 들리거나 혹은 내가 직접 연주하면 그 시절 추억이 새록새록 내 눈앞에 아른거린다. 제목은 Stones. Ultima에 삽입된 곡이고, Ultima Online 시작화면에서 나오던 곡이다. 그리고 내 개인적으로 이 곡만큼 향수를 불러 일으키는 곡은 없다고 평한다.
